All we do is ski? Find out what we've really been up to at H. Holderness this Winter

As we wave goodbye to the 17/18 Winter season here are our highlights of H. Holderness's first 5 months based in our mountain home.

Palatinalps

We kicked off this season collaborating with the annual Palatinalps ski trip, which saw 1500 Durham students descend onto Avoriaz for a week of skiing, snow, sun (and some serious après.) We all like a see our friends hurtle down the mountain at maximum speed, so what better way to get involved than to reward the winners of the Giant Slalom with H. Holderness apparel ranging from our down-jackets to our beanie collection. Check out the video below to relive some of the best bits.

Durham Snowsports Committee Annual Ball

Meanwhile, back in England, H. Holderness got the opportunity to be involved in the annual DUSSC Snow Ball as sponsors for the event and one lucky raffle winner went home with our signature New Zealand Unisex Jumper. We were honored to be sponsoring the same event alongside some great companies in the skiing game, such as NUCO, Freeze Pro Shop, FAM Clothing and We Are Horizontal. Even a couple of ski boots made an apparence, definitely a night to remember!

Bath Snow Sports Committee Goodie Bags

Ever popular with the British University ski societies, we also worked with Bath Snow Sports Committee to help stock their member's goodie bags full with H. Holderness merch, including our extreme sports stickers that are snow and storm proof (perfect for sticking on your skis). If you want to get one for yourself, they come free with every purchase *hint hint*.

Spotted on the slopes

It's always great to see H. Holderness apparel out in the wild, and our personal favourite this year is seeing Candice David wearing our classic beanie on the podium. It's been a huge hit this winter, just like Candice who has had great season on the podium for alpine skiing.

Bosse Des Bosses

Our signature New Zealand leggings made an appearance in Verbier for Boss Des Bosses, Europe's biggest inter-resort mogul contest. Our friends over in Meribel took a day trip over the Swiss border to compete (both on and off the slopes).

Research and Development

A highlight of being based in the Alps this season was being able to test out the H. Holderness capsule collection in the place it all began, on the slopes and in the mountains. With one of the snowiest winters on record, we were tested to the limit and learned even more and are setting out to make our products even better for the next collection. Nothing beats 2km off-piste descents to do a bit of product testing!

Natwest Entrepreneur Accelator

So now we've touched down back in the UK, we have an exciting 6 months ahead of us. H. Holderness has been selected to be part of one of the UKs largest banks entreprenial programme. After 5 months of snow, we're settling down into our new office, surrounded by loads of brilliant and exciting start-ups. We're feeling pretty inspired and are spending the summer concentrating on product development, brand expansion and counting the sleeps until the next snow fall...
